Rhode Island residents may have heard that the youngest of the Jackson brothers, Randy Jackson, has been at the forefront of a plan to overthrow the executor's of Michael Jackson's will and obtain his estate. What people may not know, however, is that a $500,000 debt due to unpaid child support may be his motivation behind seeking Michael's money.
Randy Jackson reportedly owes half a million dollars in back child support for his two children. The mother of his children is his former sister in law. Randy and his brother, who also has children with the same woman, are both behind in their child support payments. The two brothers have asked that Michael's estate cover their huge child support debts.
Randy insists that money is not at the center of the sibling's motives for wanting Michael's estate lawyers out of the picture. Randy, though, was the one who started the dispute regarding the estate and enlisted his siblings help in claiming that Michael's will had been falsified.
It is reported that Michael named in his will his mother and his three children. His father and his siblings were not included in his will and were left nothing.
Randy continues to insist that he and his siblings interference with the estate is not motivated by money, but Randy and his brother have a good reason to want to get caught up with their child support payments. If they continue to fail to pay they could face wage garnishment, suspended licenses, seizing property or even jail time.
